Organized since 1991 initially by Cartier, Baume & Mercier, Gérald Genta, Daniel Roth and Piaget, with the aim of creating a fair exhibition of absolute exclusivity dedicated to watchmaking, almost thirty years after that date the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) will not only change its name, but also its habit because the exhibition will be opened to the public.

Watches & Wonders is the name that replace the SIHH, the event organized by the Foundation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) and held annually at the Palexpo in Geneva. The dates scheduled for the event will be from April 25 to 29, in line with those of Baselworld.
After the exclusivity of luxury is abandoned, the public and the end customer will once again be the focus of the new fair. In addition to this, the organizers plan to set up in parallel to watches expositions, events, exhibitions, tours and meetings throughout the entire city of Geneva.
“Because it’s about more than watches, we chose a name that conveys a sense of wonder, excellence, openness and discovery, Watches & Wonders becomes the focal point for the exceptional talent, creativity and infinite innovation of the world’s leading watch and jewelry maisons. ” said Fabienne Lupo, president and general manager of the Foundation de la Haute Horlogerie.
