In this period Italy, and unfortunately not only, is facing the danger caused by the Covid-19 virus that first appeared in China in December 2019, and more precisely in the city of Wuhan. The number of infected as of victims leaves bewildered, however, we must not lose heart and remain focused by respecting the rules imposed by the government and supporting in the best possible way those who are now working to save the sick and counter the spread of the virus.

The Civil Protection website reports that on 31 January 2020 the Council of Ministers declared a six-month state of emergency as a result of the health risk associated with Coronavirus infection. As we have all seen, unfortunately, the month of March confirmed the initial risks assumed by the government and as the cases gradually increased during the middle of the month, several decrees were issued which aim to stop the spread of the virus.

Since the emergency, the lack of equipment and considering the high number of hospitalized, is putting in difficulty the health system and the National Civil Protection Service. In this way it’s possible for everyone to make a donation to this Iban: IT84 Z030 6905 0201 0000 0066 387 registered to “Pres. Cons. Min. Dip. Prot. Civ.” (more details are available on the Civil Protection page and the Portal of the Ministry of Health).
In addition to making donations aimed at the respective regions and/or hospitals you can also support the Italian Red Cross (see website) by donating to the Iban: IT 93 H 02008 03284 000105889169 registered to the “Associazione della Croce Rossa Italiana”.
Remember that over and over again hospitals are stressing the lack of blood for transfusions and on the page of the CRI you can read the requirements to be a donor.
